Welcome to the Hub blog, part of the Hub – the world’s first video-sharing platform specifically for human rights.

We designed the Hub for anyone who cares about human rights – from activists and advocates to concerned citizens, from international organisations to local groups – so you can watch and share video related to the human rights issues and the places that you’re interested in.

Who built the Hub?

The Hub is a project of WITNESS.  WITNESS uses video and online technologies to open the eyes of the world to human rights violations.  We empower people to transform personal stories of abuse into powerful tools for justice, promoting public engagement and policy change.  WITNESS is based in Brooklyn, New York in the USA.

Can I  join the Hub?

Anyone can join the Hub – it’s free and simple to join.

You just need to enter your email address to join the 20,000+ human rights organisations, networks, activists, journalists, researchers, filmmakers, educators and concerned citizens worldwide signed up with the Hub.

How can I help?

The Hub is a community-driven, participatory website – every time you watch and share a video or read and comment on a blog post, you are helping!  We have specific pages for bloggers and for journalists, but here are some ideas that anyone can take on:

- donate to WITNESS

- @WITNESS.org" target="_blank">let us know about human rights videos – or better still, add them to the site yourself

- @WITNESS.org" target="_blank">tell us what’s happening in human rights, video and technology where you are…

- say hi on @WITNESSorg on Twitter - d or @ us!" href="http://www.twitter.com/witnessorg" target="_blank">Twitter or Facebook

- volunteer your skills or time – we need people to help with translation, topic and country research, video-editing, Drupal skills, and more…
